I have had a warm relationship with music since childhood. My mom played the piano, and my dad is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, mandolin, harmonica, singing, ...). However, it was my brother who led me to the idea of actively pursuing music (he used to bring home a lot of guitar music like Offspring, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, and many others, which gradually replaced tapes with the Smurfs) and my friend Tony (I met him at a camp, and he had an acoustic guitar about 40 years older than him). Together with others, we played in a band called Working Title - a sort of heavy/punk band. Gradually, I discovered the beauties of metal, toughened up, and playing the guitar was no longer enough for me. I started learning to sing and growl. I joined the band Without Limit as a singer - a crossover/core band, then joined Mr. Scarecrow - black/death metal, also as a singer. Around 2014, I took a musical hiatus, and after a long break, I missed music so much that it was only a matter of time before I found a band. After some initial hesitation about whether to jump in feet first or headfirst, I visited the guys from Porta Inferi and received a warm welcome. I firmly believe that this collaboration will last for many years and that Porta will become an icon of the Czech and perhaps even the international metal scene. Besides music, I enjoy gastronomy, animals, and a bit of exercise. Influences: Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth, Bloodbath), Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy), Zaak Wylde (Ozzy, Black Label Society), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots), Chris Cornell (Audioslave, Soundgarden), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), and many other musicians I admire. Favorite music: Any music that is interesting enough to catch my ear. I prefer music played by people on real instruments, I don't despise electronics, I just think it shouldn't dominate the played part of the music. Motto: Don't live in the past and don't look into the future. You live today. I sing on: · SENNHEISER e945 |

I started playing guitar in the eighth grade at elementary school. This transition from B. Spears to Ozzy led me to hear the great sound of a true distorted guitar played by Zack Wylde for the first time. It impressed me so much that I bought an acoustic guitar, a songbook, and started learning. My first band was called Booster (2004), where I was a guitarist and singer. Another band that significantly influenced me was the speed metal band Nathania. I was part of this band from 2005 to 2007. The band performed, released an unofficial promo called Darius, but soon broke up due to differing opinions among the members. At that time (2008), I had already started a project with drummer Michal Baroň called PORTA INFERI, where I compose, write, and play guitar to this day. I am involved in both music and sports, enjoy fishing, and value honesty, truthfulness, and fun. Influences: Evergrey, Kamelot, DGM, Ghost, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, As I Lay Dying, Amaranthe, etc. Favorite music: all good music that makes sense… from black metal to R&B Favorite musicians: Mike Portnoy, Alexi Laiho, Paul Gilbert, Michael Romeo, Jorn Lande, Tom Englund Motto: everything is possible if you want it... My parents got me into music, specifically Rock and Metal, and for that, I am very grateful. It's the best thing in the world; music won't betray you, it lifts your mood and gives you a boost (smiley). When I decided to start playing the guitar, I couldn't think of anything better than going to a music school. There, a guy looked me up and down and told me to forget about the guitar because there were already too many like me and I was too old for it. So, I got an invaluable lesson: if you don't do it yourself, you won't have it;) So, I picked up a few chords from "Já písnička" and got to work. I played in bands like Blade, Elementa, Metallica Revival CZ, and various music projects until I reached PORTA INFER HELL YEAH!!! (smiley) Influences: Axel Rudi Pell, Ritchie Blackmore, Wolf Hoffmann, Victor Smolski, Antonio Vivaldi, J.S. Bach Favorite music: Queen, Rainbow, Judas Priest, Hammerfall, Primal Fear, Accept, Helloween, and many more (smiley) Favorite musicians: Axel Rudi Pell, Rob Halford Motto: Take it easy! I got into music when I was young, thanks to my dad who lent me CD albums of various bands. My CD player most often played the album Meteora by Linkin Park and the Greatest Hits album by Rammstein. In elementary school, I attended art classes at the local ZUŠ in Holešov. The classes took place in a small building in the yard, where drum lessons were also held. One day, the teacher took us to see how the drum lessons were going, and I immediately fell in love. So, I switched from art to drums. Since my family lived in an apartment, the idea of practicing on acoustic drums was unrealistic. Pillows and mattresses were enough for me at the beginning. Later, my dad started renting an empty room in the industrial area, where I practiced on my first Pearl drums. My first experiences with playing in a band started in my first year of high school, where I played in a band with friends from the Zlín region. First, we were called D!FFERENT and then Death Race For Sorrow. It was alternative rock. I have fond memories of those times, it was during the corona period and we just played and drank. I already realized then that this is what I want to do all my life and make it big. Over time, through a friend, I ended up in the band Sarkonia and then even in Porta. Besides music, I like going to the gym and also enjoy a good rave 3:) Influences: Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men Favorite music: Rock, Metal, Pop, Rap, several subgenres of electronic music from house to hardcore uptempo Favorite musicians: Matt Garstka, Luke Holland, Eric Moore, Buddy Rich, Chester Bennington Motto: none I play on: · PEARL EXPORT, DW · TAMA double pedal · ZILDJIAN K and A cymbals |
